The client was facing challenges with simplifying the approval or rejection process of Bill of Lading (BOL) as well as in tracking, maintaining, and notification automation of huge number of Bill of Lading (BOL) documents. As one of the important documents that are counted as a ‘receipt’ for the cargo being shipped—having the details of shipment and stakeholders involved—these documents were of high significance and used as a piece of legal transportation contract between the parties.
The client is a 3PL global leader in global logistics over 50 years, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US. They work with a large volume of shippers to evaluate their unique supply chain budget for cost-saving opportunities.
Power BI, being a cloud-based solution, brings only a certain amount of data, as compared to Tableau server that is an on-premise software. This requires higher memory and CPU availability on client machines. On the other hand, Power BI brought only the calculated and aggregated data with less CPU storage utilisation. This resulted in better performance of the reports and dashboards
Cozentus’ ‘Pay-as-you-go’ model allowed the client to add and remove users as and when desired.
With a marked difference in the licence cost, Power BI proved to be much cheaper than the Tableau server which in turn helped customers reduce their overall IT cost.
Similar dashboards and application features, both in terms of its lookand-feel and functionality as Tableau helped in a smooth transition from existing dashboards to Power BI dashboard.
Ease of use and self-service BI (SSBI) enabled quicker and better adaptability for Power BI by business and technical users.
